I dont really care for either....AudioBahn is un reliable, sloppy sounding, although their subs do look cool. Focal does make a good speaker, I just find it a bit harsh, I like my speakers to sound smoother with a flat response....the Focals I have heard tend to emphasize guiter extremely loud, as well as being too harsh. This may or may not be a function of the way they were installed, since all were in custom cabinets deisgned simiarly from the same shop.

Personally I would go with JL XR, MB Quart PSD, or Diamond HEX.

Check out my sig.. the subs share 700 watts in a ported enclosure and pound like crazy with sweet SQ to boot.. my front stage highs sound incredible from the 1" silk tweets and the indoor midbass really knocks, both sets running off only about 100 watts each.. my HU connects them all, I'm a freak when it comes to finetuning and all 3 of the pioneer units I've ever had let me do so much with tons of options and nice high voltage pre-outs.. deaden the fawk out of your trunk lid, license plate, and if you want to really stop the rattles the rear deck is a must.. props to audiobahn for making pretty good wiring kits, inexpensive and comes with enough wires and such for any amp install, might even pick up an audiobahn cap real soon too... hope this helps, good luck. Payce!

are you serious about this focal vs. audiobahn??? thats insane... audiobahn is the equivalent of pyramid imo. just look at how gaudy tacky and cheap everything they make looks. focal speakers are made in france by JM Lab which is a well respected driver and home speaker manufacturer... so yeah, id say focal is a bit better

Do you want to focus on SQ or just ***** out loud SPL? How much do you want to spend? Are you going to buy at a shop or online?

What kind of music do you listen to?

Do you want to focus on bass or mids/highs? (this also ties into how much you want to spend)

Do you like your mids/highs to be crisp, harsh, or smooth and mellow?

As far as show quality, I assume you mean install, so are you going to do everything yourself or are you going to a shop?

P.S. No offense, but please dont capitalize the first letter in every word....makes it hard to read your posts.

intake is cheesy as hell... the only way that amp would be effective is if you mounted it in on your hood

well, i kinda like the 300 watts X2. plus the fact that it is a four channel, so when i want to, i can switch it from sub to internal speaker amp. it may be cheesy, but it is FUNCTIONAL. thereby removing the cheese, and any rice that goes along with it

how is it functional if there is no flowing air going into the intake?

I mean, maybe if you mounted a fan or something.......

Oh man. The intake is where the fan is. It has a built in fan. You did realy well in buying the 2 12" Cerwin Vegas. No one that knows anything about car audio can say that the Vegas are not good. You have an Alpine V12. So that is good too. SO you have the bass taken care of. I haven't heard your components yet. I'm not sure if the AudioBahn components are good. Their amps are pretty good, and they look syc in that chrome finish with the blue lights inside them.

I've been involved in car audio on a personal level for the past 6 yrs, i read everything i can, i talk to whoever i can hold a converation with (basically anybody from a shop besides best buy, tweeters, or circuit city), i listen to ideas and get many good points from people that know a lot on the subject, because hey, that's the only way to learn.....and i'm pretty sure i'd never buy anything cerwin vega.

Yeah....I tend to avoid brands that are sold at Best Buy. Definitely not a Cerwin Vega fan here.

your very right. pioneer radio's are very very common in showcars. also competition cars. many of the SQ competition cars here run pioneer radios.

that includes my own car, and the radio is damn near 5 years old.

and none of us would be caught dead with any CV stuff.

if theres anything i have to admit, is that CV makes a bitchin SPL woofer, but thats all i can think of that they make thats "good"
