4ohm oops should have said that. price is also important but i tend to find lower prices than anyone else for example i paid 150 for the kicker (each)
i thnk theres that one phoenix gold, tantrum i think? 1200.1 i dunno the impedence. ive been through 3 phoenix gold amps, and i like them. and the octane r's look sick, but kinda expensive.
The only problem is the JL amps are the same power rating no matter how much you drop the Ohms. Look for like a Orion HCCA 2100 off ebay or something, Stable at 1 ohm mono or .5 ohm in stereo and I think they are rated at 1200x1 rms in 1ohm. which split between two subs would be your 600 rms. I stand behind the orion product because I have an HCCA 250 running my 4 10" Kenwood Excelon DB's with no problems
I'd do a JL 1000/1 if I were you and run the subs at 4 ohms total, 4 ohms means you'll have a higher damping factor, means the amp will have more control over the subs means tighter bass.

It depends on what type of enclosure u will be putting the subs into. My friend has (2) 12" L5's in a ported box (slotted port) with a 600W kicker amp and he is banging high 140's. If you are going ported, then u can get a smaller amp, if u are going sealed, then u will definitely need more power. Or u can bulid 2 seperate boxes or one box with a divider and put a 2ohm stable amp on each sub. This could be the cheaper route if u get the right amps. Personally, i only use xtant amps. They are always underated from the factory. I have the 1001 and it is rated for 1000 watts down to .5 ohms and it was bench tested at almost 1300. I ran (1) 15inch RFL off it in a slot ported box with one battery and i consitently hit 150 db's. My highest is 150.8 db.s with no dynamat. Remember, there is no govt. regulation on ratings and some compaines rate their amps for 1000 watts and they may only be pushing 800 watts. The bottom line is, u get what u pay for.
