fatmat, extreme, and rattle trap

I'm kind of new here, and I can't find much info on fatmat, except that its much cheaper than dynamat. Since it's a lot less expensive, which one should I get? My trunk for my civic 96EX rattles, and that's my top priority to put a deadener up there before anywhere else. I have a few choices in mind:

I would either use fatmat, extreme, rattle trap, or ice guard roofing for my trunk

and also, how many layers if necessary?

If I use the iceguard, should I use several layers, since I heard it is so inexpensive? Should I also apply it to my doors and hood if I use that? Does it install similarly to fatmat? Thanks!
