they are called female RCA plugs, you get get them raw at radioshack

Those appear to be locked down... It looks like the are threaded in the middle. don't they have another female end on the other side? (beneath the console there)

i dont think so, usually its not a barrel connector, but jsut an open head.

might be a barrel plug or a full out RCA cable tho, not something I know. maybe someone else knows, or you cna ask some shops or radioshack

Seriously, go to their wiring isles. In the same isle as the telecom and extension cords, etc. . . there should be a section for media wiring. You should be able to find sets of F-F (female to female) barrel connectors with the surrounding nuts. These are used to install into A/V plates on the walls of living rooms, bedrooms. Nice thing is, the thickness of the panel is of little concern. You simply tighten the nuts from each end until secure.

And they're small enough you can mount them almost anywhere.

Thank you so much Yukon!!! that's exactly what i was hoping they were. Now that you mention it i think i have seen the section you are talking about! (in home depot)
