sup guys. i plan on gettin 2 JL 12w3v2 subs.. wat amp do u recommend gettin to power these subs? i want to spend less than 250. thx.

spending less than 250 wont get you very much on those subs. youll want a good 300-400 per sub, so at least a 600 watt amp. for that price range youre basically only looking at the jbl 600.1

The problem wth trying to find an amp with a price limit is the fact that it severely limits your choices in most cases. I wouldn't personally buy a kenwood for the same reason that mattymatt gave, but then again, sucks is a very open ended word. Sucks how, what makes it suck, what reasons are there for it sucking. Most amps for that price range would definitely "suck" by the definition of "suck", ESPECIALLY if compared to an amp that would cost twice that price. But even then, there are some pretty "sucky" amps out there that are overpriced.

dbcivickid, i'd say get whatever you want at whatever you can afford, don't listen to anybody who says your choice sucks, i have stuff in my car which people would say "sucks" but hey, i like it, and that's all that matters.

If I were you I would just wait till you have more money and get a decent amp. I've bought alot of kenwood products because I was on a budget and I wasn't very happy. I always wished that I just waited and saved more.

i got a boss 1400 watt 2ch amp wired to 2 kicker l7s and they sound nice. there are the same amps that i bought about a year ago off ebay for $160 shipped

that boss 1400 watt puts out about 400. i have a boss 1200 in my garage which i tested at around 350ish
