Need Opinions... LCD Size?
alright... i went to look for an LCD today, only my guy was sold out of all sizes, his shipment got messed up with the holiday so the re-stock wont be here till tuesday or wednesday of next week... what i am wondering is what size should i get? it will be going in the lower console pocket (the one where i guess the ashtray would go) where the cig lighter and the fog light switch is... should i go with a 5.6 inch screen or a 7 inch screen? this is the first of several screens i am going to be getting, so i want to do it how it'd look best the first time... any of those of yuo with monitors there feel free to comment as well as to whether you find your screen size too big or too small... thanks

Image clarity and brightness > extra 1/2 inch of diagonal screen size.
If you find a killer 6.5" screen (which SHOULD cost less than a comparable 7") then I say go for the former. If you're just into size, then I guess the latter would be the way to go.
In the realm of many things, including LCDs for a car, biggest isn't always the best. Personally, I think the 6.5" Pioneers I have in my visors have an excellent picture quality for the price. . . and the 7" dash-mounted screen is simply the size that came in the deck, like it or not. In either case, I judged them all by quality over quantity.

Or, if you want to ditch your sun visors, get an SAVV rearview mirror with 5" LCD and an auxiliary speaker with TWO A/V inputs for a mere $229 at www.etronics.com
But anyways.... About 99% of the time a 7" tv for $119 is gonna look horrible. Save your money for a pioneer, alpine, or blaupunkt. I've installed all those screens and they definatly have a clean picture.

these screens are actually very clear, i could compare them to icons and rosens and clarions and pioneers and they are very close up there... they retail for 450-700 but he is hooking me up at cost cause we are good friends and i have sent him a lot of business... i dont buy crap, but if i have a friend that is willing to sacrifice profit to help out a friend in return for sending him business why not do it right?
Its a celebration bitches!
