Rep Power: 0 Can I reuse factory amp with aftermarket equipment? (in my other car)
I know this is a Civic board, but I've also got a Durango and need some of the expertise that floats around on this forum. I've got a 98 Durango with the premium Infinity sound system. I've got all the aftermarket equipment to put in there except my amps. I am running out of money fast and was wondering if I could use the factory amp to power a pair of speakers. (like the 6½" rears) That way I could get a less expensive amp dedicated to the components up front.
It's currently mounted behind the front passenger kickpanel on the outside wall. It probably would be easy to hook up if I could just figure out how to get the signal into it.
Is there anyway to test the signal from the factory radio to the amp to see what kind of voltage it's putting out?
Thanks guys!
Eric
