Will an 07 SI accept an 09 1.8 engine?

Title says it all. We crashed up our 2009 Civic EX (automatic) and we have an opportunity to purchase an 07 SI (manual). Is this more of a pain than it's worth?
Thanks in advance. Low rent mechanics here.

To answer your question, it’s not worth the effort. You’d be better off rebuilding the Si.
