from what I heard, there was a thread recently about someone getting the Apex VAFC to work on the 7thgens. The guy said something about, he contacted APEX and let them know about it. Also there is a VAFC II coming out.
Its a celebration bitches!

yea it doesn't work right, the engine check light comes on and it thinks there are incorrect fuel map settings.

Beginning in 2001 Honda revamped the Honda civic.....All new looks and everything. The motor changed along with the ECU..overall. Yes there are still some characteristics found in the 2001 and up with that of earlier models yet... different. Those nifty little "vtec" controllers are made mainly for DOHC engines that you find in 01 integra's and down and Civic SI's 99-00. The computers in these cars are different and much more simple. The controllers are designed for them and are configured to work together. The 01 SOHC VTEC can work with a vtec controller because of the camshaft...but we have a much more sophisticated computer on board. We need new bolt-on's and electronics to outsmart and/or work directly with the latest ecu's thinkings......until then boy's and girls you'll continue to have set backs and problems.....don't fret the Si Coupe will be back with the beefy dohc soon.....

AND it's VTEC, NOT V-TECH like the cordless phone. IF you cant even spell it, dont ask questions about it.
The check engine light only comes on in cold starts...its goes away when the engine heats up.....and the 4000RPM limiter goes away too...and yes i can feel the diffrents when VTEC kicks in...but not sure on the incresing performance...^^;;
