Fire Extinguisher Suggestions??
Fire Extinguisher Suggestions?? i want to get a fire extinguisher but im torn on what kind to get. ive seen APC, OBX, R1. and is there anything else. do you guys have suggestions?
you cant see it in the pics, but the APC one has a label wrapped around it in white, and then all the warning labels, and so forth, and the gauge is pretty tight also..
But i've seen the OBX one in person also and it really doesnt look all that bad, but like you said, you like it and thats all that should matter

well if i were you, i'd go ahead and get the OBX just because im not sure about the APC ones now, because they are always showing them without the labels in all the pictures..
If not, i say go to a local store and see if they have an actual APC one with the label.. The label just makes it look alot better especially when its flushed in the bracket.
I could have swore i saw some in Autozone around here so you might wanna check there..
I know for sure they are in Advanced Auto Parts, so check it out..

well i had a APC one in my last car and have seen them in tons of other cars... thats the thing..
but i dunno about the OBX, but i know the APC sits flush and tight as hell and looks nice especially where your gonna mount it..
I just suggest you get the APC one then, since we know more about that one..
But hey, its your call, get what you think will be right..

The only thing that is a pain, is the pin that sticks in the top side and that bitch rattles whenever your system hits and so forth, but you get really used to hearing it

Get whatever you want but I think I should point out. Make sure you bolt it directly to the metal under the a-pillar plastic piece to many people I see just screw it into the plastic and thats just stupidly un-safe! If you put it there anyways... I should get one also.... do I smell a group buy? I like the OBX myself I really dont like APC. I changed my oil the other day had a little smoke got worried for a little.. still kinda am worried ;-)

i know a lot of people have aftermarket shift ***** on their cars...you dont really "need" one of those...aftermarket pedals? dont "need" those either. what about the people that buy new guages? hell you dont "need" them but you bought them anyway right? for what? looks? show quality? what do you think im going for from buying this stuff? but hell, at least w/ the fire extinguisher theres added safety.
that would be horrible for the time you need to use it, it doesn't do crap to the fire. :P knock on wood
I think the OBX extinguisher looks better, because it's got a longer chamber without that whiskey-bottle neck shape on the top.

if you dont plan on using it then you can do what i did. i bought a obx and peeled off the sticker and painted it the body color of the car or you can just take off the sticker so its all polished
