oil filter weight?

oil filter weight?
in spirit of grey's uber weight reduction threads...
i changed my oil yesterday with amsoil and an amsoil filter. my previous filter was a bosche and after 30 minutes later, it was out (did i mention how much i hate having the driveshaft there in the way with a tight as hell filter?)
anyway, when i pulled it out and had different filters in my hands, i realized the amsoil filter was lighter than the bosche filter, and it was also larger. is the amsoil filter indeed lighter, or did the bosche filter simply have too much crap in it from the engine?
