Post Honda Factory Performance!

Hi Guys,

I have been to all my local Honda dealerships looking for a part that comes in the Factory Performance Package. As most of you probably know they won't sell pieces out of the Package. I wanted to buy a small simple plastic piece that holds your shift boot up with an aftermarket shift **** which probably would cost $3-$5 bucks at any Honda Dealership. The dealership told me to call the Honda's Customer Service to leave suggestions. I called and left mine just now, anyone else that is interest in pieces off the FP Package please help out and call your self.

The phone number is: (800) 999-1009

They will ask you some basic information about your car etc. Tell them you would like to suggest that Honda sell the Factory Performance Package in pieces. They may ask you what part out of the kit you were looking for. If you are just calling to support us :-) you can tell them what i'm looking for above.

I'm hopping with enough of us suggesting this, Honda will take it into consideration. Please post if you called so we can tally up the number of suggestions.

Thanks!

All you have to do is wrap some tape around your shifter just under your shift ****. It's sort of a trial and error with the thickness but eventually you will make it thick enough that your shift boot will stay put on it. I've done this to mine and my boot never moves. Save yourself the time. Use the tape.

personally i would rather spend the 4 bucks and not have my shift boot rigged. Do it right the first time. IMO. I have talked to my dealership and the one here in Houston is willing to part out the FP package parts but they arent worth the cash your gonna pay for some of it.

Wasn't there gonna be a Civic EX with 160 HP or was that just a myth? I can't remember the outcome, it was a couple of months ago..

xian is on a distinguished road
I find it pretty depressing when Honda has an EX 160 HP "concept car" when people are doing swaps as we speak.

Maybe people should call that number and refer them to this site to prove how easy it is to do the swap. ie Look at Hawk's thread.

"concept car" my *** Honda!

i know exactally how you feel. The concept car has been a freaking concept ever since the debut of the 7thgen so we all hoped it was Hondas answer to the weak a$$ D17 but alas we are stcuk with stripping RSXs' and swapping.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Otherwise, everyone on this site would be trading in their car for the "concept" one. Oh well.
