ABS Dynamics Carbon Fiber Hood

I dont know how good they are. I was wondering if anyone on this site has bought one and how they like it. I was told they were nice hoods and are VIS quality and a plus is you dont need hood pins for it. they are a good company as far as shipping goes. I ordered my type b lip and it shipped out from there place and I got it in 4 days. Well let me know whats up. I provided a link to streetstylers page where i purchased it at. They are also a great company to deal with.

I just thought I would throw in something about the 'vision CF hood' .... you can see our massive 1.7 L VTEC through the heat resistant window in the middle of the hood. Great for daily drivers who want to get flamed.

i havent hear about them but makes sure the are grade A, UV proteced, rolled edges and having an under skeleton might add wieght but it ensures strength so look into that as well. Having the washer nozzle holes pre drilled is a plus since some CF hoods begin to crack when you install them ummmm i think thats about it. They look ok i would like to see a close view of the CF weave tho

its a coating that most CF hoods have, if they dont have it STAY away otherwise youll be looking at a faded CF hood in 6mons or less. VIS, FI, CWest(crappy quality), Sunny Stylin, Kaminari - these all have the formentioned attributes. IM looking for Sunny Stylin myself, little more expensive but well worth the quality

they look OK, they dont have washer nozzle holes so your gonna have to drill them but other than that they look good for the bank your gonna spend.

Can you use a regular drill bit to drill through a cf hood without it cracking or anything like that?

the holes are easily drilled in CF hoods, and wont crack if you do it right. mask off the area, and progress up in bit sizes to slowly make it larger, and youll be good

I am pretty sure that once you drill into CF you should apply a small bit of epoxy on the cut edge to keep out moisture. Again just enough to cover the "raw" CF edge.
