my newest idea!!!

what woudl you think of paint that glows??? i can get phosphorescent powder when mixe with anything it will glow for 12 hours at a time. put in lighted garage for 5 min and your fully charged for 12 hours. in green, yellow, pink, purple, aqua, etc. just imagine a glowing civic cruising down the street WTF would you think..

how much would you pay for enuff powder to mix in with paint to paint whole car?

could possibly be mixed with clear coat so you just repaint over with clearcoat that glows not having to repaint whole car.

If you use a photography flash, it'll charge the glow-in-the-dark paint VERY quick.

would be cool, but unless youre in pitch black no ones gonna see it.
try it w/ glow in the dark watches...all it is is phosphorous<sp> and if youre in an even remotly lit area you cant see it glow. soooooo...since most cars use lights at night, all youll be doing is wasting some money on something no ones even gonna notice.

interesting idea tho, just dont think it would work.

I agree. Also, wouldn't that be illegal or am I just wrong on that. Because I know having neons around on the street is illegal, I would believe that would if it gave off enough glow. Injencivic might shed some light on this subject.

I would be awesome to see though

The quickest way to charge it would be to put it under a black light, and If you got the right stuff, in the right concentrations, it would probably glow pretty well. Have fun with that.

When you park it in your driveway, it will catch the eyes of robbers or potential baddies who do evil to things they want but cannot have.

You'd probably get pulled over a lot at night. I'd imagine that would grab the cops attention.

If you fly by someone at like 100 MPH they might think it's like an alien ship lol.

it would cost about 10$ for one ounce and thats enuff for like 5 cars. 1 ounce goes alog way and it glows very brightly.. have you ever seen a navy seals watch? its the same stuff it glows so bright you can light up room with watch. so when you drove it it would light up street around you like underbodys but cooler.

Yeah like underbodies but brighter and more tickets. Someone else hit it on the head. If underbodies are illegal could you imagine a glowing tricked out vic rolling around. Thats a lot of tickets.

The idea is sound but the truth of the matter out ways it more.

Make your lawn glow and people will think that you live by a radiation planty or something.

Take a shower and then go to the police department and tell them you got mugged by an alien

Maybe just cover your car with reflective tape.

Seriously though, that paint is already available. I use it in small quantities to paint gunsights for night shooting.

A friend of mine who paints cars said that glow in the dark paint doesn't last that long. He said it would be great if I didn't mind getting my car painted every year.
