New Idea on All Cars: Full Sunroof
New Idea on All Cars: Full Sunroof
use some hard-strong glass to make a full sunroof to replace the original roof and by solving the sun heat/light problem we will use a roll or Windsheild Sunlight Reflector with automatice roll open and roll close button (more infomation later in this post) and if you like, can make a open sunroof on the glass.. or a whole sunroof slide open..
some major problems have to think about before conve. to the civic:
- is the glass strong enough? is it safe when the sunroof glass break by anything??
- would inside be noisy when is raining outside??
- money
some more ideas added to this post reply

The new maxima has 2 sunroofs so it is almost like that.
that is hot i thought about making my civic a conv. and what it would look like i think it would look pretty good, cus the coupe is pretty long and sleek so it would look pretty good in my opinion.
I like this idea aswell.

for cl230 one would look better.. but maxima's sunroof is too small..
the idea is to get in the sun light to the interior and have a full sky view with the less blocking..

The Mercedes ML class also has this option, im not sure if any of the other classes have it as well.
i think the idea is great, it would be freaking sweet to go through with it.
Any ideas on the cost?

the benz aren't exactly like that though. they're not the full roof.. but quite a large size indeed... they open up pretty big.
they basically dont open up into the car.. but slides up, and then out.. that way it can go out more...
some Hondas are like that too... opens up, then slides out... I think the Prelude, Integra is like that. hmm. not sure about Accord.
on another note, our sunroof is small. -_-

wow~ my idea of the full sunroof have people to look forward and support me.. ^^
But there have fews problem have to be solved before you install it:
1. the problem of direct sun heat/ light, how to avoid the sunlight burn the car interior.
- this is not a big problem, coz sunlight is not 24hrs on, and if, you would not be open for the light into your interior in that time. (picture for solving this problem later in this post)
2, safety
3. map lights, sun visor

The Porshe Targa Had something exactly like that, It could retract all the way into the back. That might be cool for the civic, but then again it's probably way more money that it's worth.
