Tanabe SRM or Greddy Evo

Which one is better? I have read extensively on both of these exhausts and everyone seems to love theirs, whether it be Tanabe or Greddy. I kind of wanna go with Tanabe cuz they are japanese parts for my japanese/chinese (whatever it is) car. But i'm stuck, what do you guys think? I want a really deep exhaust (not ricey!), and a slight increase in hp. Thanx

RSXtypeIvtec is on a distinguished road
I have had both exhausts, and I like my Tanabe a lot more!
It is a lot lighter, a little louder, and a clean nice deep sounding exhaust....
I did not lose as much low end tourque as i did with Greddy, and it wasnt loud enough for me....
The sound is perfect, for me at least!

Cant go wrong with any, but I'd say go with Tanabe

I have the greddy evo and have been pleased. Have a feeling with the more mods I do to the engine the more I will like the exhaust. The evo is aimed alittle more toward turbos.

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
Tanabe has been dynoed to provide the best gains in torque and Hp for our cars. I love mine, the look the sound and the performance. The greddy is nice but i would say go with Tanabe. The Greddy has a stainless steel muffler where as the Tanabe is made of full stainless steel whihc means your Tanabe will outlast the Greddy. It has a more straight through design hence the more gains in Hp and torque. Hope this info helps you

hey wassup tristan, it always seem that you and red333 always are the first ones to jump on posts like this so imma state my opinon on exhausts k. I just recently got my greddy in yesterday and im really lovin it, its totally really quiet and when im cruisin at 60 on the highway i can barely hear it. It looks fine on my car and although its extremely heavy i like it cause its sooo huge its just based on personal opinions but i was swinging towards tanabe when i heard the greddy it was just rite for me. Ill post some pics tommorow after i slap my kit back on. hth

GREDDY POWER ALL THE WAY!!!!!

Greddy evo is the quieter of the two but when i really get on it the sound is perfect. After u have the greddy for a while the stuff that builds up in it and turns the inside of the muffler black you'll have a great sound that isn't so annoying.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of getting a cat-back system? Anywayz, the Tanabe doesn't give off an annoying ricey sound does it? I hate the rice sounds, i like a semi deep sounding exhaust. Thanx

greddy is a good size....for our generation

doesn't take a mathematician to figure out
that our civic is bigger than the previous gens

i slammed my car and the greddy scrapes everywhere
the greddy is loud when you want it to be.....

if u have tanabe...
cruise by a cop and he'll think u just rev at him
and give u a hard time....

your call....

well i really wanted the catback cause i didnt want to go out and get some custom pipes made plus i wanted it to bolt on directly. And i didnt really like my stock muffler, (who does) but i mainly got the catback cause of looks and sound quality not really for performance. Like i said before its just mainly based on your own personal preference. Thats why i like the quietness of it when im cruisin at 60 on the highway, oh and one more thing you can still hear it inside the car but when you get on it past 4-5k rpm if u have a cai i hear that over my evo. But thats just my hearing i could be wrong when compared to others. HTH =)
