dc headers
uhhh...yeah youre weird guy. and yes i searched google. i found a good price at doctor import but they only give you the upper part. i think i know what theyre talking about, just half of a 2-piece 4-2-1 header which is all that i think i need. any more help would be appreciated.
whats the big difference
and btw, nopi never sends me ANYTHING i order. i dont know if im doing something wrong or what but it always says my order is complete yet they dont send it and they never charge the credit card

dont waste your money on any top portion header unless you have a downpipe and modified engine that will flow more exhaust...
if all you have is an intake, dont get an aftermarket top section cuz thats a waste of money.. unless you can get one for cheap, cuz all they are is bigger tubbing, and you dont really need that unless you're flowing more.
the dc one is actually a wee bit bigger, its also a bit smoother.. but thats not necessary good, it looks like it has more of a quick merge at the 4-1 point.
in either case.. its all top portion except for the HP header which replaces the entire top section and downpipe+cat convertor.
why is it all top portion?? because our downpipe is welded to the cat convertor (USDM EX anyway)...
the amount of length from the manifold to the downpipe is so little that you will not find any top portion that are that much different in design compared to the stock header, cept for the bigger tubbing size... simply because there's no space to incorporate a better flowing header to tune the hp/torque on the powerband.
the only header thta seems to really do anything is the HP header with "highflow cat" and by highflow cat I mean basically a straight pipe, its not a real working cat.
if you search on each section of the exhaust system, you'll find many more information and more options available to you.
and you will not find any 4-2-1 header, trust me on that.. unless they're custom.. and if they're custom, they're probably meant for other region 7th gen Civics.

hey the way i see is ..i got a dc ceramic on ebay for 225.00 (top piece only)
and dc is one of the best names out there....hence if dc felt it necessary to make
a "down pipe" they would have thought of it and marketed it like mad.
its all in what you like and believe is good for you and emissions laws(wv has none yay)
let me know if you need any more help

no one oversea has ever heard of DC sports I bet... I've read plenty of asia tuner magazine and the only US aftermarket auto manufacture ever mentioned is K&N...
they didn't make a downpipe because the stock downpipe is welded onto the stock cat convertor... they couldn't mess with that because there's an o2 sensor on the stock downpipe... if they do, their header wouldn't be street legal, and it wouldn't exactly be an easy bolt on.
and gosh $200 is quite a lot for a header thats almost similiar to the stock header. though, I think they actually manage to change the design a bit... they increase the length of the primaries tubbing a bit... and eliminated the merging point on the stock header.. this probably took away a bit of low-mid range power and slapped it on the higher end of the powerband. in either case it shouldn't be making anymore than 1-2 hp.
and you can use the DC header for the DX/LX/HX, IF you get an EX downpipe/cat convertor, aftermarket/stock EX cat-back.
