Phantom grip may. They have it listed as 82-01 civic. So either they messed up or all the trannys are the same. I know quaiff doesn't. Maybe you should be a donor car! I want an LSD too.

I just emailed Quaife and Kaaz. So far Quaife said they are making one due out the end of this year.
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, Quaife does plan on manufacturing an ATB
differential for your application. We would anticipate this application
being released in fall-winter 2003 but check our website from time to time.

Ralph Hollack

I inquired with Quaife a LONG time ago and they said their ATB Differential for the previous Civics would work fine, you'd just have to get the bearing size right. I posted about this many times aswell, so if you search in the archived messages in the suspension or other products forums you should find it.
here ya go: Supposedly Quaife has an ATB Diff for us...! (boy, now that i've posted so many times about so many things on this site, and ppl still post new threads asking about those things that would be answered quite easily if they searched, i realize how incredibly frustrating it is....and why all the older members are always bitching about that...*sigh*)

... I emailed Quaife to clear up the discrepancies b/w robbclark1 and slikor's posts....
"Sorry for the confusion. The e-mail information from July 2002 is in fact
correct, 2001-2002 Civics (non Si) should use part number 60.309.155 with
the 40mm OD bearings. I had forgotten (that and I am not a Honda expert)
that it was not until the 2003 model year when Honda changed the Civic so
the motor "spins" in a conventional manner. These models would use a
completely different differential that we expect to be released later this
year. All CRX/Civic (non Si) from 88-02 should use either the .150 or .155
application. When I answered the e-mail below this morning, I had complete
brainfade with respect to model years, I apologize again for the error.

... sounds good to me... but i thought that 01-04 civics were all identical?
Can someone clear this up?

Forgive me o'grand master Seth!! YOu need to fill me in on this stuff through IM!!!
Save your money and get an Neuspeed X Brace....
I might get the Quaife if/when it's released, but until then... I'm glad I have the X Brace.
I get better traction in every driving condition, it's really added a lot of stability/control to the car.
But don't get me wrong....nothing beats a Quaife.

Rob: that comment was not directed at you my friend
I dont know what you are smoking
, but having a lower front tie bar, like the Neuspeed one, will have an effect that is not even close to what a LSD type differential would. The tie bar does nothing but improve rigidity of the car's body and subframe, the LSD would truly improve tractions in all cases, and from my experience of my car's poor traction at time, I think it would make a huge improvement to the handling all around of the car.

It's not what I've been smoking , it's what I've driven with and without...
The reason the results are similar is because with the X Brace the tires have better and more controlled contact with the ground. Therefore... there is less of a need for a LSD.
The two parts would compliment each other very nicely.
