Kyokugen Lugnuts

I realize that this is a Wheel, tire and brake item, however it is also a product... I got no where in the W,T,B forum so could the mods kindly leave this here for a little while.

Does anyone have these? The 7-sided lugnuts that you supposedly can't get off without the special key (I'm sure I could find a way to get them off if I tried, but that's beside the point). I've read mixed reviews about them staying torqued and the corners stripping off, just wondering if any of this has been experienced personally or if they are good stuff. I haven't figured out if these are for real or if they're rice... everyone advertises they as "lightweight JDM racing lugnuts"... but they're only about $55.

I'm looking for a nice set of lightweight lug nuts in black with closed ends, what would you guys suggest? Gorilla, Kyokugen, spline drive, I want good quality, but not to expansive. Thanks

Yea the open ended ones right? i' don't got them but had recommendations... the stripping of the edges never happened because the lug socket it comes with is a perfect fite, which means the isn't enought play in the lugnut and the socket to strip the edges... unless you used somthing else to take them off

They also make closed end ones now too.... which I like the idea of better. The nuts are chrome vanadium which is pretty tough stuff. I always had this idea that someone could just drill out the stud with the open ended ones... or use an easy out and pull them off.
