intakes/drop in filter and honda maintenance price...
Just wondering, for those with intakes or drop-in filter (like i do)... do you get charged for the paper filter thingy? The maintenance packages charge a certain fee... ie, package a,b,c,d... if i already have my own aftermarket filter, will Honda take off the cost of the paper filter from the maintenance package? Let's say the maintenance costs 35bux, will the cost of the filter be taken off from that? or am i forced to pay for the paper one?

Yeah, just tell em you don't need a filter. The K&N drop in filter I had came with a sticker to put on the air box to warn them not to reomve that filter.[hr]

sooo how much does the paper filter cost? just curious on how much i'll save
The sticker came with the filter for my Firebird. I don't have it now. It was like a red sticker that said, this is a permanent filter, do not remove.
I have FIPK on my Civic.
I dunno what Honda charges but air filters maybe cost $5 to 10 maybe.
I never take cars back to the car store, unless something warranty happens. It's a lot more convenient to just go down to the quick oil change place and get that done. That's about all you ever need.

yea, pretty much...if you keep up with your oil changes, and just maintain your car, itll last forever without puting holes in your wallet.
