ok this is my thoughts on this topic. a quality muffler by apexi and tanabe and all that is prolly gonna cost around $200-300. now if u add CF to that its prolly gonna jump up $150. now theres gonna be tons of rocks flyin at it and tons of heat so if it is REAL CF it woould crack and warp. now if u get a cheap noname or APC muffler wiht CF on it im betting that its prolly gonna be a sticker of some sort

CF if done right is durable... comon i've seen people drive over their CF hoods... it held shape....

"but" i dunno how CF holds against high heat....

I think cf could work?...I knew of a friend that had a cf exhaust on his bike. He put his hand on it without burning his hand...I dunno...I'm no expert on this...

the TVR Tuscan has dual carbon fiber exhaust stock, so it's prove that it does work, but if you're already out for an expensive muffler why not buy a Titanium muffler??

I too have a cf on my gsxr. you can run the sh@t outta of it and then touch it and not get burnt, but id say it has no purpose for a car, its not like your legs are going to bump it or anything. I suppose you could put a streetbike exhaust on your car if you really must have cf and want it to last.
