Installing M3 Mirrors

I have an 02 Ex civic, and just bought and got my M3 Mirrors painted. Does anyone know a DIY site I can go to, to install my mirrors myself. Or can someonegive me some instruction??
Thanks,
Tai

I heard you have to remove the door panels. I think there are screws behind there somewhere. As to anything else, I have no clue. Hope someone here knows what they're doing

-allrighty, first dissconnect neg battery term.

-remove the plastic panel inside the car that goes over the mirror from the INSIDE.

-pull straight out real hard....it is only clipped on.....
-now you should see a wire harness(if power mirrors) and about three nuts

-to get to the bottom nut you must remove the entire door panel

-to get the door panel off you a few screws to take off

-two of them are inside of the door handel from the inside. just pull the handel to the OPEN position, behind it you should see a rectangle -plastic peice that looks like it can be poped out. pop it out from the bottom with a screwdriver. be carefull not to scratch it. behind it should be TWO screws(gold i think) remove them....

-there is a second screw under a little plastic peice that pops out the same way...it is where you put your hand to shut the door when getting IN....look...youll find it
after that you must pull UP on the part of the door that hold all the buttons for lock and windows....it will POP out...no screws hold that down....after you yank that off you will see two more screws that go from the inside door panel onto the door sub-frame....undo those two...make sure to dissconect the bars from the door handel....and pop that son of a bitch off.....
from there it is easy....un bolt the three nuts that hold the mirror on,,,hold it so it doesnt fall off...put the mirrors on ebay..they will sell! ask about 50 for the pair.....then slap your news ones on ....plug in the wire harness....puts your nuts back on...just tight enophe to hold the mirror on....easy to break

-there will be a second setof wirs comming off the new m3's..these are for your leds(if it has them)...just splice into your turnsignal in your headlight....
man, these diy's suck to write! any further questions email me

I know you're gonna ask so I'll answer...

To wire the M3 mirrors...

You'll need to fish the wires down the door panel and through that black hose that carries the wires from inside the car to the door...
Do this on both sides.

Then.. There is a hole on the the floor near where the passenger would place their left foot... You need a hanger to punsh through that and fish the wires through. I reccomend you start off with alot of wire and get in punched throught this hole first. and then fish it through the doors. Butg whatever floats your boat.

Radio shack sells this quick connectors that attache to both wires and than you clamp the plastic down to make a connection. That help to connect them to your turning signal.

Ill make this easier..................

1. Take off door panel. If you cant do this i dont recommend you do this your self
2. Unbolt and unplug the mirror
3. replace mirror, use stock bolts, plug in if powered.

Getting the Door panel off is easy. But the thing is that the actaul plug that powers the mirrors, are differnt so I am curious what colored wires go to what when I splice them. Second the wires that I got with the package to make the light blink and stuff are blue black and white. I know I need to wires the black to the ground wire, but what do I need to wires the blue and the white too??

to make it EASY: (no open door panel necessary, cuz I found out!)
1. use flat screwdiver to pop up the rectangle -plastic peice, use force to popped inside rectangle (the one close to inside corner). It's just like a clip hold on to it.

2. remove 3 screw nuts, then disconnect the wire

3. voila, here u go ~mirror is off~

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I've been reading mixed directions of how to take off the mirrors. My question is simply this: does the door panel need to be removed or not? thanks.
