Who has weighed their cf hood?
Someone a while ago said they were going to weigh it and weigh the stock hood and see how much weight they saved. But they never posted their results. Has anyone done this?
In all the cf hood discussions I've read here, I've not seen one mention of specific weights or weight saved. Anyone have any info?
Thanks,
IronFist

I must have missed your post. Thanks for the link.
Yeah, so, it's good that you gave info. I assume the stock hood weighs like 30lbs then since you said this was was half of that at 15. Anyway, it's good to know you didn't just get the hood cuz it "looks cool."

Grey I got a question for ya. Are there any CF hoods that don't require any drilling, cutting or shaving of any sort? If I spend all that money on a CF hood, I want it to come with everything on it! I don't want to have to do anything to it. Thanks

Nope. Not that I know of. Maybe the Kaminari has some of the holes, but then again... Some people want the option of not putting their windshield washer nozzles back on again.
So yeah... Stock hood 30lbs. Fiber Images CF hood 15 pounds. Weight savings 15 pounds. Not bad, but nothing to get all excited about. Then again, it's probably the single best bolt on weight savings out there. The CF trunk will be another one too. No confirmation on how much of a weight savings with that thing though... Grey, thats not a bad price for your hood. Did you buy it locally(worcester area) or did you order it online?
I think it would be cheaper to just go on a diet and lose 15 pounds. Even more weight savings by driving barefooted.
