Altezza grill or RS grill
I'm trying to decide between these two grills. Which would look better on a silver sedan with cleared headlights? And how much would it cost to have the border painted silver?
If I decide to get one, I will also have to get body colored hood and trunk mouldings instead of the chrome to match. Anyone also know who might have these as OEM?
Thanks for your insight!

Colored hood molding = www.hondawerx.com for $20.
A colored trunk molding does not exist for a sedan, and the colored ones from a coupe does not fit.
Honda has the chrome and the gold for the trunk.
You'll have to get your chrome painted

I personally like the alteeza grill better. I ordered the Type R grill (alteeza style) from hcracingusa@yahoo.com on ebay. $34 shipped. I don't care for the way the RS grill looks, especially with the H and RS on it.

Hmmm, I don't like the RS letters. I'm going with the altezza grill. Will it look good if I leave the chrome hood moulding on? I think I will be getting the grill lip painted to match still.

I have an "ex" civic so I went with the altezza grill. I rank the "rs" emblem right up there with the type r stickers. To each his own though. I have a NBP sedan with the altezza grill (unpainted, yea unpainted) along with the colored hood molding if you would like to view it, check out the grocery getter.

How did you guys install the grill? Is there drilling involved, or does it just snap into place?
No drilling...Just screws from the OEM grille (after you take off bumper cover)

I have the Altezza grill on my 7th gen....Never painted it, kept it black and I really like the look of it. If you want it, I will be selling it soon....just gotta take it off the car. I am going back to stock and selling all the parts and then selling the 2k1....In the spring.

Hey CIVICDUDE, let me know when you're selling yours. I think I will just keep it unpainted for now. A honda body shop wanted $110 to paint the lip!
Where can you find the H emblem in bartkat's pic? Is it just the rear OEM emblem? That would look really nice, like the older gen civics.

That is the OEM emblem from my original grill. Didn't need it on the old grill, since I took it off. I stuck it on there with 3M tape cause it looked to plain without it. It's been on there almost a year now.
Here's a closer pic.

There is an actual "rs" version of the civic but it is only available in the Phillipines and only comes in sedan form. So, any coupe with an "rs" grill is really . Sedan outside the phillipines is ricey too. May as well go ahead and get ya na si badge.
