Those are leather covers, they just go over your cloth seats to make it look nice.

i've always wanted to swap my interior for the interior of an acura 1.7el, if you could find one at a wreckers you could probably get the leather interior for for cheap.

Actually, from the looks of it, you take off the fabric, and the leather goes in it's place. That looks pretty close to a katzkins kit.

yea those are the kind that you take off the fabric and then slide the leather over it. I dunno but it also looks like the door inserts come with it too.

here's a DIY for leather interior that i found on the Website ..... i forgot what's the website

General Installation

Installation usually takes an experienced installer about 4 to 5 hours for an average two-row seating sedan with door panels.

Tools
The following tools will be necessary to install your leather interior kit.
· Hog-ring pliers
· Hog-ring cutters or tin snips
· Tool set (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. for seat removal)
· Scissors
· 3M Upholstery Glue
· Tucking tool

Step 1): Removal of seats
You need to remove seats out of your car to install your leather kit. Seats are installed differently depending on the makes, models and trim levels, but in general they are bolted to the floor. Determine how the seats are installed and can be removed. Be careful not to make scratch or damage interior panels when removal. Also, make sure to unplug wires for power seats and/or seat heaters if any.

Step 2): Removal of cloth covers
The original cloth covers are held to the seats with many metal rings called hog-rings. To remove the original cloth cover, take the hog-rings out by using snips and detach the plastic parts from the seat frames. Later, you will need to install the leather covers exactly the same way as the original cloth covers are installed. So it is very important to remember where and how the hog-rings and the plastic parts are attached to the seat frames. Also, keep all the metal rods used in the cloth covers. They need to be used with the new leather seat covers later.

Step 3): Install leather covers
Insert the metal rods that you keep from the previous section in the corresponding locations on your new leather covers. Start installing leather exactly the same way as the cloth covers were installed. Place hog-rings to the same spots as the cloth covers.

Step 4): Put the seats back into the car
Put the seats back in the car. Be careful again not to make any scratches and damages in the car while putting the seats back into your car. Also, make sure that you tighten all the screws and plug all the wires.

Step 5): Door panel inserts (if any)
Remove the door panel from the door if necessary. Remove the door handles and the other parts from the panel if necessary. Remove the cloth cover from the panel if necessary and clean up the surface. Lay the leather inserts on the panel and trim the edge of the inserts carefully, not to over-trim. Tuck in the edges into the crevice with the tucking tool. Then apply appropriate of amount of glue after covering the surfaces that you don't want make a mess with the glue. Place leather inserts on the panel with avoiding wrinkles.

It is a replacement cover for the original factory cloth. The cloth must be
removed then this put on in it's place.

wouldn't it be better to leave the fabric on before putting the leather covers over? this way it will give a more firmer feel. or is it better to just take the fabric off.

I guess I will shed light on this situation because I guess I'm the only one to do an EBAY kit on the site. The leather is leather, but its not like as soft as some leather is, its kinda rubbery? You know what I'm talking about. I bought the kit like a year ago for $270 shipped. You must take out the OEM cloth, and put this over it. Install is crucial, estimated $400-$500 worth of labor if you get a shop to do it. The Kit comes with the leather materical, and these staple things where you clamp the material to the foamy seats (makes it fit tighter). I didn't bother to use the clamping things, it just would have been so much more work. I just put the covers over everything. It's not tightly gripping the foam, but it definitely works. This process with a friend took 2 16 year olds about 13 hours of work. I say to you guys, it can be done by any average person, but don't expect to be driving your car for 2 days, maybe even 3 if you use the clamping staple things.

Here is a picture of what it looks like in my car....

Get a friend to help you, and prepare for a longgg weekend.

P.S. If you do the kit, you will then realize why I didn't use the clamping things. It was such a pain to pull the oem material off the seat because there were like 20 on each thing.

Looks good. But I paid $100 for my entire set (2 fronts & and back) and I have the actual seats (not just covers). Will be installed this spring.
