Question about extending O2 sensors...

Since I have a DX and got stuck with a midsection for an EX, I will have to get an EX header to make it fit. Thereofre, I was told I will need to extend the O2 sensors. My question is, will it fit without having to extend/modify the cables, or will I have to modify them? Is that an easy job? And can there be any problems if it has to be done?

when they say....extend the o2 sensors...they really mean....extend the WIRES of the o2 sensors...

i'm planning on doing the same thing you're doing here soon. my plan is to extend the wires slightly after the harness to help keep the elements out of the connection. I'll be using metal butt connectors...(kinda like the plastic ones but with no plastic...just metal about as big as the wire is) and using a little silicone grease and heat shrink...should work pretty well

I would strip the wires ends. Get 18 gauge stranded wire.
tie in longer wires.
solder them.
then cover solder with liquid rubber.
you will have a much better connection

airmass has a wiring harness to extend the oxygen sensors that just plugs in,it comes in their header kits for hondas,if you contact them you may be able to get it seperately and you wouldnt have to cut or splice any wires so it would be easy to go back to stock if you needed to

Premade extensions would be nice. Although, I haven't heard of them being available. If they're not available, do what kjgracing said. That would be the best way to extend the length of the sensors.
