Radar Detector

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a radar detector, which brand should I get? What are some must-have features? Any suggestions? Thanks

Stick with Bel or Cobra. Bel has a better quality radar. Less false alarms with Bel. Any others I would really not go with unless they have outstanding ratings.

I got a 10 band Cobra and I love it.....had a 9 band but some poor bastard decided that he wamted it and stole it from me So I went out and got a 10 band....check EBAY, you should be able to get one for anywhere between 50 and 100 bucks, depending on if your lucky enough to catch a good auction.....mine retails for 189 and i got it for 70 bucks after shipping.

Check out this site:BelTronics. I just bought the Bel vector 985 and it has to be the best radar detector I have ever owned. It also beat out all the current competiton detectors. Read through the whole site they even have the latest radar test from numerious sites showing that the new bel detectors are the best. I would say go with Valentine1 but I have heard people say that they don't have the new radar and laser guns programed in they're detectors. I hope this helps. Oh, and the new bel detectors have a new feature called auto scan that eleminates false alarms while filtering out the real radars and it actually works!!
