gains of a header?
I was thinking about getting a header, found this one cheap, and im wondering what, if any, are the feelings that you guys have towards them. This one here is like a DC and Neuspeed. Im just trying to find out where to spend some of my money from xmas. Thanks in advance.

so the ex kamikaze header includes the downpipe, unlike the DC? If thats the case, thats where most of the power is gained. Except i cant afford the 300 price tag thanks guys

Yes, It totally eliminates the Cat. So if you have emissions tests to pass you might want to think about something else.

You are going to have to lengthen the sensor wires because the sensor plugs in at the connection to the downpipe section.

They can also be purchased from here.

The lx benefits (more so than ex) because the oe headers are pieces of junk. They look like someone took the ex header and smashed it like mcdonald's does their burgers. The ex already has a very nice oe header, dayum nice for oem.
I don't know why anyone calls the kam header and downpipe the best. If the definition is the most gains w/o modification than I would agree with that.
However, if you are willing to cut the mount, I'd bet money that the hp will produce more hp. Look at the long-tube race design. It optimizes high-end power which is where i/h/e makes almost all the power on our cars. The Kam combo is nothing more than a slightly better than stock oe top-portion only header with a catless downpipe.
Either way, w/o dyno results we can't say for sure. Although, if you know anything about how and why different style headers are designed the way they are and for what purpose, you know that the hp race design will most likely make the most gains.
