AfterMarket Horn Showdown!!!
This is the test between Grey's Triple Air Horn setup with Dual Compressors

Grey's Setup






AND


My setup is the German Hella Twin Supertone Horn Kit. Long range. Two horns, mounting brackets and relay. Horns are metal disc type. One 300 Hz and one 500Hz. 144 Watts. Includes relay.

Well that makes your point totally valid. And how many ugly sleeper cars toast riced up shows cars? If looks make the product then shouldn't the show car win?

Hella horns too shrill. Sounds like a glorified beep beep horn.

Air horns win hands down. Sound like they have authority.

Alright you all.........after weighing how the two horns sound I am on the lookout for new ones.

Right now I am eyeing some industrial use metal air horns used on big rigs. They run about $200........once I get them then I will come back to play. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

Well, any airhorn is going to be way louder and better sounding than the stock clowncar horn, so I'm happy with my FIAMM setup. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG]

They may be, who knows... 130dB, I forget what rating mine had. Although I don't know what rating they have now with the dual compressors? More for sure, but how much? I don't know?

That is one of the setups that I am seriously entertaining. It doesn't come with a compressor though so I would still have to find one.

I have the FIAMM FREEWAY BLASTER.

I have the fiamm freeway blaster deal but I need mo power!

What kind of horn do the big-riggs use? I think that would do the trick...

Speaking of blasting off bumpers, it's warm enough to put on my 2nd horn today. But sure engough as soon as I get the bumper cover off, the house keeper will call and need a ride and I don't know if it's legal for me to drive without my bumper and it's raining and would it look real silly to drive over there to pick her up with no bumper cover on the front of my car?

I've seen cars ride around with no bumper. It's just a cosmetic piece, not the actual frame bumper.

I would be afraid of something going through the radiator though
