GReddy Turbo - Beats the horse agian

I asked them if they are gonna make a turbo and here was theyre response to me. BTW Iv noticed its good to e-mail people about our cars, it lets them know people give a **** (i just censored myself). I dont know but this sounds like a load of **** to me.

"Thanks for your interest in GReddy Products. Currently we have not heard of any plans to make a turbo kit yet for the 2001-on Civic EX. Both the engine and engine controls for the latest model Civics are very different from previous models. A street legal kit may be very difficult to make, because of the location of the catalytic converter and the strict emissions level of this Honda. Perhaps there are other companies who may be making a off-road turbo kit, but so far we have not seen one available yet.
You may want to contact one of our Authorized Dealers to see if they know of a possible maker. http://greddy.com/dealers/ "

at least they acknowledge they dont have any in the pipeline, unlike some other companies that keep people waiting on the sidelines.

kind enough to let you decide on your own.

The shop I work for carries Greddy and we asked them about the kit for the 7th gen. They said the project was put on the shelf b/c they were putting all their efforts to the 350 Z kit. Thats what their marketing dept. said.

I went to the proshop here were I live and he called greddy up for me. They said they don't have a kit but can make one, "off the hip" (stupid *** saying) $3500, no intercooler, to be mass produced in 2-3 month.....blah blah blah the kit will include what you will need to get around the returnless fuel system problem, he would say how they did that. Upgraded b.o.v and wastegate will of course cost more depending on which ones you want, "I'm in a hurry I have to go" I paraphased

They didn't know jack, or didn't care. Bad customer service. They can't get their stories strait. Which is just as well because everyone told me go with Garret or Turbonetics, that greddy was just an ok brand of turbo.
