Exhaust Resonator Skunk2

I bought the Skunk2 Cat back--- was wondering if i could find a mid pipe section to replace my mid pipe section. Mine has the Resonator, I want an exact replacement that i can bolt in or take out at my whim without the Resonator. Would a muffler shop be able to do this? Or would they just be able to weld a piece on in its place. I would appreciate if someone knew How I could achieve this.

ak can only hope to improve
They can make the custom conectors or whatever they are called. I have seen it done before.

However, most muffler shops find this time consuming and somewhat complicated therefore wont do it.

Good luck

nevermind. are you talking about removing the resonator? so you want to run a straight pipe to your muffler? you should be able to have it made at a muffler shop. just a pipe with 2 flanges. cant be that difficult.

if you want a straight pipe just go to a shop and they can replace your skunk 2 reso with a straight pipe..should cost no more than $40 but why would you?? I hear the skunk is loud enough as it is?? anyway if you want a bolt on straight pipe it will be time consuming considering the fact that the muffler shop has to a, section your exhaust near the resonator and weld on a flange (so that you can take out the reso section), b, cook up a straight pipe with 2 flanges one on each end (so that it can be bolted on/off) This would be time consuming and they would probably charge you somewhere around $100 but its the only way you can have the bolt on straight pipe that can be taken off anytime....

btw I have a straight pipe with my HKS rear section and this sucka is MAD LOUD....I'm actually thinking of putting a bullet type reso back in to tone it down...
