Engine swap?

I am obsessed with speed ; but unfortionatly it seems as though nobody can come up with a reliable turbocharger or supercharger for our civics. So I had the thought of swaping a Acura RSX S-type engine (I don't know the engine name). I was wondering if that engine would bolt right in my car without problems.

Search, buddy.... yes the type S (it's called the K20) is possible to fit, and someone on this site has actually done it, but it will not "bolt right in." I don't think any engine will "bolt right in" unless it's a duplicate of the one that is already in there.

If you are seriously considering doing this, be prepared to spend upwards of 10 grand. You will also loose your A/C I believe ( )

But yeah, do a search. That is all.

if your so obessed with speed why did you buy a civic? for the price of your civic, plus the cost of an engine swap you could have bought an rsx type-s.

If you want speed. Go with the K20A off of a 02+ RSX Type-R. It's kicking out 220 with a 2 liter. Those things run about 7-8 grande and, once again, there is a site that's trying to do it. Look for a thread called "Project K20A".

Actually u can pick up the type r motor for alot less thatn 7-8 grand i have found entire packages for 3.8-4.6g Also if you went with the type r it would be alot harder to find upgrades for compared to the type s. If you do swap go for the type s and turbocharge it.
