k&n fipk question

im having trouble with the rubber trim that goes around the heat shield....on the 90 degreee angle.....would it be okei to cut it?[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

What I did is just cut the metal part (not the foam rubber stuff, but the vinyl-coated metal that actually holds the strip to the heat shield). I just cut a little bit up and it was a lot easier to fit the whole piece around the turn.

oo i got what u mean...too bad its already dark out! and the weekend is gonna be wet...having no garage sucks...thanks

Yeah, go ahead. He 90 degree bend is tough. You will have to cut off about 3-4 inches at the end anyway. Just make sure you cover the whole edge... that padding keeps it from bumping other things in the engine.
