Yes it is a bit odd.
But put one on the emblems on your car and you just might convince the cop that it "really did come that way from the factory". Or at the very least it may confuse those states that require yearly vehicle inspections. Since it's an option and not a specific model Civic the VIN# would be no different, therefore those who can only go up 1 wheel size can do 17's without fear. And ride height. FP's sit about an inch lower. Add a RSX sway bar and Eibach or other black springs and you're home free. They won't be able to tell the difference.
Maybe we should thank Honda. Too bad the "FP" option is so expensive and only comes as the whole package.
Curious though... Would that be considered "rice". Geez I hate that word. How 'bout, "Would it look f**kin stupid?"

Thanks Rain Racer,
Do you think it would be legal to use them emblems since I have the ProKit and Koni's? I think it would all go together good for when I get my LED license plate frame and washer nozzles.

I actually think the factory performance badging may be a good idea to do. a few mods and cops will think it's stock, especially if they see the FP shift know and FB badge inside too! I'm trying to get my hands on the hona springs only, i need them

Hey MadWheel. If you do find the springs, can you let us know (where, $, etc.) I'm looking here in Calgary, Canada here for them too, man that would be nice. I have already talked to my dealer and he said if I lowered my car more than an inch, none of the suspension or CV joints would be covered under waranty anymore. But with Honda springs,
, can't say that anymore, huh big guy. I'll let you know my sucess.

You could get one of them windshield strips with the stick on letters and make your own "FACTORY PERFORMANCE" sticker and even put the letters backwards so he guy that passed you could read it in his mirror.
