Dear Mark,
Thank you for your interest in Auto Meter Products. We are currently introducing
new gauge pods for the 2001-2003 Civic at SEMA. We are offering a dual and single
pod, and a dual and triple pillar. The release date is still tentative, but should
be released early next year. Thank you again for your interest and support in Auto
Meter Products.
Sincerely,
Mike Sueto

what's wrong with eye candy? the only truly useful gauges are the boost gauges and nitrous pressure gauges. all the rest of definitely eye candy, but who cares? makes your car look good.
i want them for eye candy....and just to keep a look over things
i will be using a oil pressure gauge, and a vacuum gauge, just for looks, car is still slow as crap!

Actually, a new temp gauge will show the true temp of the car. It'll go up and down as the true temperature does. If there are some major performance modifications (N20, Turbo, etc...) it'll show if something may be going wrong. I'd like to get some better gauges too.

Actually gauges are far from eye candy.
A voltemeter can tell you about problems with your battery and alternator before you are stuck in a parking lot.
A oil pressure gauge can SAVE your motor. The stock idiot light only comes on when you have 10 psi or less pressure. A friend saved his motor when his oil pump spun a gear. His pressure dropped, we took it home and only replaced a pump gear instead of an entire motor.
A fuel pressure gauge can tell you if you are starving your injectors for fuel and need to up you fuel system. Once you are sure your fuel system is up to snuff, it can tell you about a leak or clogged filter.
Temp gauges tell you when you are overheating. If your head gasket is blown, your water temp will go up before your oil temp. A stuck thermostat will up the oil temp but leave the water low.
Transmission temp gauges will tell you that you need to install a tranny cooler before you blow up the tranny.
A tach will alert you to a slipping clutch as well. All of these gauges can save you money and time. I would not call that eye candy at all.

Yeah, voltmeter is not only useful as a battery meter, but it also tells out what devices are putting a load on the electrical system. The only gauge that's really eye candy is a clock.
ALL RIGHT!!!! I have to say, I was really disappointed in the quality of information that our stock gauge clusters provide....
I'm guessing installing gauges will be a royal pain in the *** for a new Civic though.... My experiences have been with older Mustangs, and you could run a friggin 4" pole through the firewall if you wanted. Everything in a Civic is so exact and precise....... no room for alterations.

air/fuel ratio gauge is useful, you have two options though when you get one you can hook it up to your stock O2 Sensor which works but the stoich is all over the place. Or you can get a wideband O2 Sensor and get a better reading. Either way this gauge is more than useful, especially if you're a "real racer" or "car ethusiast".
Anyway... I have voltmeter, oil pressure, and A/F Ratio.
In the future, after I turbo, I would like to add a Intake Temp. & Boost gauge to the console bessel.

I was told the VW 1.8l has wideband o2 sensor. they sell for about $29 from any VW dealer. If you ran catless downpipe and put it in the second bung hole w/o2 sim going to the ecu and the wideband o2 sensor to the guage would that work?
Any one try this?

That is of course if what you are saying is to hook up a wideband O2 sensor to a Autometer A/F gauge.
ive got an autometer a/f ratio gauge and i still dont know what the **** it does. i mean sure, any moron can understand it informs you if youre running rich or lean but most people just get them because they look pretty.
