header question..

whats the diff of havinng a ceramic header or a stainless stell one..

what are the benifits of either?

ceramic is cheaper and is better for heat insulation (ie keeps it cooler under the hood), but it tends to crack after a few years. SS is more expensive, not as heat resistant and will discolor over time.

edit: the COATING cracks, nit the whole header. its ceramic COATED.

I read it the other way. Both types will have appearance problems down the road (cracking vs discoloration) so pick the one that doesn't generate additional heat under the hood. Unless there is a big weight difference, I would get the ceramic headers.

yes, but stainless steel headers discolor quickly, and ceramic dont crack until a few years down the road. ide go with the ceramic because it keeps it cooler. but the discoloration looks kinda cool sometimes, that bluish yellow look[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
