a good eye plus the passport 8500 makes you NEARLY invincible for the money, so i've found. i'd go with the escort.

If I where you, I'd save my money. I have a friend that is a cop and he said that they have ways around those things. And even if you do have one, what good is it if you only have one second to slow down before it get on to there detecter. I'm just try to help.

well it is because when I'm going to FL. and if i happen to be speeding I would like some type of warning so if i do get pulled i can slow a little bit so the ticket wont be as bad. plus for when our team goes to shows outside of the state we like to get there quick. Well here is the one I found and bought not bad I think. Cobra ESD9850
Let me know what yall think.

I've heard of a radar for around $500 dollars that sounds like the greatest thing for a speeder. It supposedly detects the police radar from 3 miles out 360 degrees around. On top of that it "JAMS" the radar dectector from 2 miles out. Supposedly, you could pass by a cop going 100 mph and their radar will never detect your speed becuase of its "JAMMING" feature. I'm not sure if this works or not, but they offer lifetime warrentee and they also give you a contract that states if you recieve a speeding ticket they will pay the bill and refund your money for their radar. The price is really steep so I have not actually tried this out, but for those of you with the flow I would definately look into it. BTW... hope you give me feedback on whether or not this "JAMMNING" feature works. Thanks.

radar jammers are illegal. laser jammers are not. If you have a warning when you're within a 3 miles of any radar source it'll never shut up.

I love my escort 8500. (they're even better if you can afford an add-on escort ZR3)

Active radar jammers are illegal, however, passive radar jammers are legal. Passive won't protect you up close though.

any radar detector that says they will pay your fine also says "...if you are 15mph or 10% over the speed limit, whichever is lower" or something like that. I.E. you can't be going fast enough to warrant being pulled over.

(i'm not sure on that percentage, but i'm almost positive it's 10% or 15%)

edit: spelling

i think most radar/laser detectors will detect cops anyway. unless you just have to have that assurance that they will pay for your ticket. i bought one off ebay for $32.50, retailed for $79 (from walmart- sticker still on it). i am on the interestate for about 40 minutes each day, and it has never failed to beep when there is a cop anywhere near. (as well as when im doing city drivig). anyway, i just think it'd be worth getting a cheap one thats just as good.

Alright, I got a friend that has a valentine, swears it has saved him tons of cash, personally i know he hauls butt in his old escort, hes done some work to it and does 120-135 most of the time. He loves his valentine but doesnt know what model it is. Could somebody direct me to somewhere where they have valentines?

Valentines are freakin expensive! What is my best bet? Just save up for one or look for something cheaper?
