CARB Approved/Street Legal Exhaust?
Now there's gonna be a new bill in CA about exhausts being loud. I need to get a new one, anyway, what exhausts out there are CARB approved/street legal? I know for sure Tanabe is but can they fit LX? Is Magnaflow CARB approved/street legal?

When you guys say "G-Medalion" do you guys refer to G Power Medalion? If so, where can I purchase it from for a 2k1 LX coupe? And is this model streel legal with a certificate?
GReddy, but you'll need an EX header conversion.
I personally don't care for the new law. There are too many people with modified exhausts and cops aren't gonna seize all cars with modded exhausts (just the ricey ones I hope).

The new bill was passed on September 19th, 2002. This states that the sound by a motor vehicle must not be more than 95dbz. (I think its dbz). So it is really a good bill that will allow us to protect ourselfs from cops and their "It was too loud at the time".
So how do we prove that we are under the dbz level? Thats where it gets shady....We'll have to go and have a shop measure the level and provide paperwork saying it is within reasonable levels.
No biggy though. Just don;t gun it when a cop is around.

Cali peeps should be grateful they passed a measurable(95DB)law...most jurisdictions leave it all up to the cops discretion..i.e. if the cop thinks its too loud(or if he needs to write a ticket to meet his quota) your toast.
Well, Edgard... you really do widen your choices if you chose to get an EX header. If you're gonna get a header anyway, why not get that first? Afterwards, getting an exhaust is as easy as pointing to which one you want and getting the header is cheaper than most cat-backs.

If I ever do get an EX conversion, I would have to cut the motor mount ryte? Which I don't want to void the warranty yet.
