if its a real high flow working cat that actually does something about the exhaust fumes coming out, it wont be cheap.

and you'll gain more than 1.5 whp I think.

should be a good buy for those that want to swap out their entire exhaust system.

our cat is welded on to the mid/a pipe though... they're going to have to replace that whole thing.

that'll make it cost more too.

I duno. with an aftermarket header (upper section) this cat, and an aftermarket exhaust, you may get some okay gains... but then again it'll probably run you a grand for what? 10 hp hopefully?

oh yeah here's a quote from their site:

This design, which meets Federal EPA and California ARB requirements, enables virtually any vehicle with a properly tuned engine to meet emissions standards with little, if any power loss (compared to an exhaust with no catalytic converter). Please note that no aftermarket catalytic converters are legal for installation in California on OBD II vehicles (some 1994 & 1995, and all 1996 and later vehicles).

how is it direct bolt-on when the stock cat is welded to the downpipe? unless the radom cat comes with it's own downpipe.

if its a complete bolt on, then it should be a downpipe w/cat.

This cat has the downpipe welded to it so it's a direct bolt-on. Just confirmed this with Random Technology.
