dont know what it really matters on weight, your making it out like the weight of your muffler matters? How much does your car actually weigh compared toe the weight difference between teh DC Sports and the other brands available? I have one and i think that the best way to describe it is that its the most innovative and eye catching exhaust available for our car. im always being asked what the deal with it is, and that it fits the car so perfect. no other exhaust fits our car like it was meant to be there like this one does. OEM body kit or not it still fits like a glove and looks tight as well, you get the idea... sound of the exhaust absolutely rocks over all others, low grumble, great tune inside the cabin, rarely need to use the stereo because of the shear enjoyment of listening to your own car running...

thanks for the info man. the reason i wanted to know the weight is because ive heard that it is really heavy because of the twin canisters or whatever.......the lighter the car the faster. did you notice any increase in performance? im planning on geting a header at the same time. thanks again man

Get Tanabe Rspec...the best sounding and looking IMO sounds deep and looks great all stainless steel and has a straight through design more so than any others out there

i've got the tcs on my car and it sounds great....deep mellow humm...gets kinda loud at higher rpms and u can feel it vibrate the whole car...anyways...i like it...but i soon will be one less member with a tcs, for i am getting the Apexi N1 catback....
the reason for this....well the only reason i am doing this is because the dyno chart in the dcsports catalog shows that our cars lose torque and hp with the tcs....i thought it was a misprint, but it does lose power...significant loss? no....but enough to feel a difference...

lose Hp Greddy or Tanabe...Apex is good but Tanabe looks sweet on a car...check my memebers ride for a pic with Tanabe Rspec installed (saw a dyno chart and Tanabe came out on top with torque and Hp then came greddy then apex) FYI
no matter what exhaust you put on your car your gonna get some kind of loss..but its not too difficult to get it back.. get the tcs man..its definately worth the $$ and i doubt youll be disappointed at all
The loss is in the lower RPMs only. Import Tuner put the TCS to the dyno and it gains a big fat 1.8HP overall. I love mine, but it is heavy, no prob though just have a friend hold it up while you bolt it in.

Just installed mine last month....noticed a huge increase in acceleration ability...not so much concerned with the hp increase, just with if your car gets off the line faster, which it does with the TCS...
2Hottie

here's the deal... If you rcar is completely stock then YES the exhaust WILL make you lose HP, just like adding dual exhaust to a 4 banger....you lose your back pressure. Same goes with headers.. I still love the sound of an CAI, header, & exhaust combo....in all honesty an exhaust is mostly for show unless you have a big HP gain over stock....
but you gotta love that sound!!
but you gotta love that sound!!
But then how come the DC sports civc with header intake and exhaust gains 5HP over stock, while the DC sports RSX-S gains just 20HP over stock, according to import tuner and honda tuning. So we still get something, just our cars don't respond well to mods. The TCS on the RSX-S gives it 6HP.
That car is already fast, it's just not fair

to clear up the thing about loss....
all stock exhaust systems are built to MAKE backpressure, backpressure= low end torque=good daily city driving power, easier to drive redlight to red light if you must. however, high rpm HP is lost because of this. most people who want an exhaust, want the power, thus, the pipe is usually enlarged, and accompanied by a straight through muffler. this reduces backpressure, and low end torque, but makes upper end HP. for every gain, is a saccrifice.
