Engine Work
I am new to this stuff. I had just bought a new 200 Civic and I was wondering what I have to do to the engine to prepare it for either NOS or Turbo kit when it comes out? And also about how much would this cost me? Also does anyone have any performance boosting suggestions?

You can run up to a 50 shot of nitrous and a low PSI turbo on stock internals. If you want more, u will probably need new pistons/rods, port and polish, new head gasket, maybe new rockers and crankshaft. Lots of those parts aren't out and will probably never be out because not many people are interested in the D17 engine. Port and polish will cost anywhere between $500-1000. If you want to run a higher shot of nitrous, u will need a stronger throttle body and intake manifold. We all have seen that disaster! I am not a techie, just picked lot of this stuff up searching around. Do a search or ask Grey about turbos!

just buy the turbo or the new nitrous express kit i heard its better on your engine and car engine systems, but i am not a big fan of nitrous, but turbos and superchargers are the way to go in my opinion

we also have a returnless fuel line so anything more than a 60 shot of nitrous will begin to warp your engine.. i'd suggest clutch/fuel pump/fuel lines to deal with more power/fuel management.. you should be safe with a 50 shot, i wouldn't put much more than that in this engine though- honda didn't exactly give us the easiest motor to mod..
