Jaguar Tails for coupe...

I was wondering if anyone has purchased a set of the new "jaguar tails"? The only place I've seen em so far, has been e-bay. I'm kinda heasitant to purchase these lights because I don't want to get screwed. If you've purchased these, seen these somwhere other than e-bay, or heard any positive or negative things about them....let me know. Please!

Well, I see them for the sedans....but not the coupe. Thanks for the suggestion though. I e-mail them and see what they have to say about the lights for the coupe.

Hey Ray, they have another auction with the buy it now option. If I decide to get em, I'll just end that other auction with the buy it now option.(if someone doesn't beat me to it) I e-mailed a girl that bought a set of those lights from that same guy, but she hasn't e-mailed me back yet. She said that one of them didn't fit perfect, and it leaked. I'd like to hear her opinion on the lights, but I can't wait that long. I wrecked my car this weekend, and I can't stand lookin at a f*ked up rear end. I'll probably just end up buying them and crossing my fingers. Oh yeah, and Autodynamic.com hasn't e-mailed me back about whether or not they carry the lights for the coupe....but I'm guessing they don't. Oh well....

Hey slikor, I thought I saw your name on that other set. If you do win, let us know what you think about em. I can't find em anywhere else, so I'm fixin to buy the lights in that other auction. If I get screwed and slikor doesn't I'm gonna be one pissed *****!!!

will do, man. i'd say do the 'Buy Now' auction ASAP before someone else grabs it, cause thats only $2.50 more than i bid on the other one and you're virtually sure to get it

also, if you get screwed and i win, but for some reason dont like the lights, i'll sell em to ya hehe

Hey, sounds good to me man. Or I can always stick them back on e-bay and screw someone else over...but that's never nice.
My friend is telling me to use an escrow company to pay the guy. That way he doesn't get paid until I'm satisfied with the lights. But if I don't send them back, and approve the payment.....he gets his money. Have you guys heard about, or dealt with, this sort of stuff before? If so, please explain to me how it works...

Oh yeah, and Ray....if you don't need the lights now, you can just wait and see how me and slikor end up. If you want to order a set now, let me know and I'll ask the guy when he's postin another auction.

hmm, i wouldnt worry that much about not getting the product after you pay, i mean you could use PayPal which supposedly can do something about those instances, plus if he does that you just leave nasty feedback so others know, and look at his current feedback; 2658 positive comments, 51 neutrals, and 43 negatives....thats *pretty* good

i just won a rear lower tie-bar from ProCarParts.com for a total of like $30 after shipping, so we'll see how that goes since i've heard bad things about them.

Damn, another person? lol So how much did you pay after shipping and tax?
I think mine came to like $136.00.
And I had looked at his feedback. I also think that it's pretty good....I mean of course you're gonna have SOME negative feedback after 2000 auctions. I went through the first 10 or 11 pages and it looks like the only big problems were that he either didn't answer e-mails, or sent some bad chevy altezzas...which is good because altezzas don't belong on chevys!! lol j/k Other than that the only negative feedback I found was regarding slightly scratched or dirty mufflers. Hopefully we don't have anything to worry about.
I'll post as soon as I hear from our boy sprinter, but I've e-mailed him twice since 8:00 this mornin and still nothin....
I got my fingers crossed for all of us. lol

So you bought the ones with the clear lens? $144 isn't that bad considering you paid tax too.
I know what you're sayin about the broken light bro. After the wreck I had one clear tail, and one regular! lol I had a set of altezzas that I put on, but I hate the way they look on my car. I hope I get these lights in quick, and don't have any problems.

Well, I just received my confirmation e-mail from the seller. And guess what? You don't have to buy them off of e-bay!! Got to www.x3racing.com.

oh man!! that sucks....it would have been cheaper for me to order it from their website cause the shipping on Ebay is $20 and so far my high bid is $117.5.....damnit!! oh well, we should post that site in the parts section cause those lights are new AFAIK.

thanks for the heads up (even though its kinda late for me) AEM

I wish I would have known it too. Oh well, sorry guys. When the guy sent me the link to the credit card payment screen, I noticed "x3racing" in the url. And I e-mailed him 2 times asking if there was a website assosiated with the lights.....he even replied, but never told me anything about the website.

Why are they so cheap? When you guys get yours in, let us know of the quality...$115 is a great price, but are you paying for what you get? Let us know, because I'm interested in getting these...

I'm hoping that the price is cheap because everybody's too scared to buy them. If nobody buys them.....they'll natually drop the price in order to sell. That's my story and I'm stickin to it!
I'll post pics and let you guys know what I think when I get mine in. Hopefully they'll be in by next wednesday.

yay, i got my taillights yesterday from UPS. they were in perfect condition, then even were wrapped in bubble wrap and had styrofoam protectors in the corners.

they fit almost perfectly, but i think it's better to use the stock foam gasket thing cause the one they come with seems to make them stick out a bit more, but once it got compressed a bit i think it'd be ok. they look sweet as hell, and i just wired the LED ring arount the blinker to my parking lights via a splice connector. one thing is, i now really need to get a hyperwhite reverse light bulb cause it looks all yellowish since you can see the bulb with these.

i will take some pics tonight in the light and dark and i'll right a review later

Sweet! Glad to hear that they're good quality, and look good. They come with an LED halo, eh? How does that look? Can't wait to see the pictures!

the LED halo looks kickass cause its around the blinker circle, and on with the parking lights...its hard to explain but the pics i have later today will show what i mean. one thing is, my taillights and blinker and parking lights look weird almost cause the LED is a pure red while the regular bulbs arent as much so...lol...i will probly get them all replaced with either LEDs or hyperwhite bulbs soon.

Well, I didn't have time to post last night, but I got mine in too. They were in perfect condition also...bubble wrapped and everything. I haven't put them on yet because I'm waiting to fix my screwed up rear end from the wreck last week. I did however wire up the halo just to see how it looks. I can't wait to see pics of them at night. Slikor, what wires did you tap into for the halo? Oh, and let me know what kind of bulbs you get.
Peace Out
