does anyone have pics?
i have had my dc stainless steel header for a couple of months now, and it is starting to look like sh*t. can some people that own the stainless steel header post some pics so i have something to compare mine to? and does anyone know if this would be covered under warranty?

i know it changes color, but on 3 of the pipes it looks like it rusted. i polish it and most of it comes clean, but after driving it around it goes right back to how it was

Stainless will rust....although I'm surprised about the 3 month time frame????????? Usually it takes much longer....especially during dry summer months........still, it should perform better than that...BTW, you may be cleaning slight oxidation off (rust)...anyway, post a picture for us to better see..peace!...I've got ceraminc as well.

The DIY that I did before I got the K&N was to remove the stock intake, all but the filter box and then run a flex hose to the point where the original intake sat behind the battey on top of the inner fender. It worked really nice, but was kinda ugly.

We've done this on motorcycle header pipes, that are real bad to turn colors and oxidize. The silicone will put a barrier to air, and it is the air and high temp that is causing the problem.
