ok so yea for those of you that didnt hear the terrible news my CF hood flew off on the highway the other day...no i didnt have hood pins...and NO THEY WERE NOT REQUIRED!! so yes...i called up DG and complained that my hood seperated into 2 pieces the tray that was still latched on to the car and the carbon fiber piece that FLEW OFF! here is the pics (2) of the hood click on my members ride you can see the pics of this terrible tragedy... at least i get a new hood for free from DG i just dont know about the trim piece on the front of the hood I hope they replace that too!

I guess they didn't use enough adhesive (or resin?) between the two halves. Glad to hear DG is gonna replace it.

even with hood pins it would have happend. how fast where you going? did you see any peeling from the hood b4 you drove it?

their was no peeling before it happened that i noticed i believe my hood accidently hit someone a car behind me...but its all good they didnt stop or anything so maybe it just missed them...i was goin like 80 MPH i have gone way faster w/ it on it was just a freak thing that it happened...

I was driving on the higway behind him when it happened I was a little back, but yes he was totally safe about it pulled over to the side of the road and went and got the hood, it was amazing but at the same time kinda weird to see.

I didn't know it at the time but found out later that night that it was him on the higway
