I just got my 2K2 Civic, and one of the reasons why I got it was because of the huge availability of aftermarket parts for them (not that much for 7th gen yet), which allows you to differentiate your car from your next door neighbor. One thing you can change to give it a different look are the tail lights, but what tail lights do you people recommend? I see there are many generations and styles of Altezza (clear, black, and carbon). I would like different tail lights, but everyone is flaming the Altezzas, so please give me some advice and opinions.

True, everyone is flaming on altezzas. Personally I don't like them... keep the stock ones, or smoke them.

Also some Altezzas fog up after a few months.

Personally I bought the Carbon Fiber Altezzas... BUT... they fogged up after a few days and i sent them back... they are CRAP!... I now really appreciate my stock tailightss....

i recieved the chrome matrix altezzas on tuesday, put em on my silver coupe....but now they are off....

they are a little too flashy for me...i think im gonna smoke my stock tails and led light....

if your intrested i have mine for sale...cheap!

i dont get what youre saying about availability of parts....you said you got a 2k2 bc of the large availability of aftermarket parts, and in parentheses you said there are not that many parts out for 7th gen. yet. a 2002 is a 7th gen. im a little confused, please explain.

I smoked my tails.....and left the horshoe pattern red (stock).....everyone thinks they kick ****,......I haven't put picks up yet.......I believe the only other person that did it was pimpdakota.....

Well do you have a coupe or sedan???

Personally I like the stock coupe tails
but if you have a sedan
thats a different story the sedan tails are so d*mn ugly with the little pink box

what I meant to say is that I've always liked Hondas because of all the aftermarket parts for them. But I bought a 2K2 Silver EX Sedan and have seen that we are still missing some aftermarket parts, which I'm sure will change in a year.

who cares if people flame altezza's. its your car, do what you like. the only ones i would personally get is the TYC ones. but ya most important rule when modding your car is do what you like, not what the person next to you likes. as for them fogging, most of them will fog, all you do is put silicone around the seals and you should be fine.

I've had my altezzas for almost a year... they havent fogged and are the exact same as when i bought them.. they're not as flush as the stock tails but they're alright and i like the way they look... who cares if ppl on here flame them.. if u like them then get them

I would recommend the tyc tailights they look good I have the chrome ones on my car. Also who cares what other people think it is your car.

I recommed you buy the civic hybrid tails
Just my opinion I think they look bad *** and they aren't too flashy and they give you a better look then the pink little box
but anyways they are quite expensive. Someone on this board bought em and put it on his sedan. I forgot who but it looked very nice.

i really dont like the altezzas. I have a 4door and they really look like crap! I want the HYBRID TAILS because the reverse cover light is clear instead of pink. KEEP IT CLEAN, STAY AWAY FROM RICE!!!

to smoke your tail lights is to spray them with translucent black paint. it looks black but when you press the brake, you still see the red light.

Voiceofid: I don't care if I have the same tails you guys have, cuz I live in El Salvador, and down here I'm sure I won't see them on to many cars, though I do see a hell of alot clear Altezzas! So thats why if I go for Altezzas, they would probably have to be black or carbon.

Now, about the smoked tails, I'm not so sure guys. Do they really look good? Wouldn't they look cheap & ricey? I would like to see some smoked tails before I screw mine up. Thanks.

I am curious as how the smoked tails would look on our cars as well, i have never seen this done before or even heard of how to smoke your tails, damn a DIY would be great!

If anyone puts Altezzas on your car and they fog up, its because you didn't seal em. I know it sounds silly, but you have to seal em up like when you would clear your headlights with some silicone sealant..

The thing is, everything is cool and original at first, when they just come out and no one has them, but when people find out, forget about it. Everybodies mom, grandma, and goofy fu ck has them on there car just cause others do. Not cause there really into there car. So I say, fu ck it, it's your car, and if you see something you like, go for it. Remember, your gonna be driving it.
