Im pretty sure this AEM CAI system was meant for an LX but it seems to fit okay on my EX. Ive noticed a bit better throttle response and it is a bit quieter than stock w/o resonator. It does have its own nice unique sound though and a nice swoosh when you shut off the engine and when you rev hard. The filter sits almost directly under the battery, right in front of a radiator fan. Does this sound right? Also does the LX CAI come with a transmission bracket becuase I didnt get one ? Oh yah one other thing, after driving to work I popped the hood and the CAI pipe was hotter than hell, i hope the air within the pipe is not heating up as well.
No its not attached to the tranny but the largest portion is attached to one of the same mounting points as the stock resonator so it is pretty secure. There was actually no place on the pipe where it could of been mounted to the tranny, kinda wierd.

congrats on the install and your choice of Intake....my filter sits a lot farther down away from radiator so it would suck in colder air......so the filter sits lower to the ground and closer to the bumper

I have no idea why they have a LX EX cold air intake..
wonder why AEM did that... for fun? heh. didn't want the LX to dyno as much as the EX? *shrug*
but as long as it fits.
