OUCH!!! Dont do that. If you are at least any mechanically inclined, give it a shot. It's really not that hard to do.

if its a full set of coilovers you dont need a spring compressor. True coilovers come in one piece all you have to do is unbolt the strut 5 bolts totall 3 on top 2 on bottom. it really easy just mark where the old strut sits first other wise getting it aligned is a nightmare.
good luck.

this is only true for some true coilovers.. some dont come with the top mount so you would need to take it off the stock one and put it on the coilover...

DogstyleEX, check the DIYs. if you goto the DIY page theres a couple for sleeved coilovers and if you goto the suspension forum, check out the 'detailed spring installation'.

If they are going to align the car, that is still too much. It should be an hours worth of work + the alignment(if any). ASE regulates procedures and give the alotted time for the work to be done by. SO if they finish quickly, then you still have to pay for the time alotted. If they go over, you do not have to pay more. Look for a shop that works for $60 -70 and hour. The average shop works for $80 and hour(usually ran by a manager and not the mechanic, unless they have a reputation).
