looks like a cold air....but mine looks different than that...mine looks longer...here's tha pic on my profile.. ..hmm
Well after some digging I found a pic of the AEM short ram which doesnt look like what I won on ebay. Apparantly AEM made a single piece CAI and thats what I have won, i think .

ok...this is what i think......i think its a CAI for an automatic transmission...i know it says MT on tha instructions...cuz mine is a hellova lot longer than that...and yeah...since theres that thing for an AT that prevents the filter from going lower...yeah..just my .02 cents..

they only have one CAI. and none for AT.
here's a more reasonable answer, because its obviously shorter.
he probably cut it because he thought he needed to cut it for the bypass valve...
or he cut it cuz he was worried about the possibility of hydrolock... (which explains for the bypass valve)
wonder if the bypass valve is included. probably not? he didn't mention anything about it in the auction... guess he just have it there for show... or trying to play it off.. *shrug*
either way a 120 bucks isn't so bad.
I'll still stick with stock though.

I think its the CAI for the LX/DX 5 speed because it looks exactly like several I have seen in the members rides. Looks just like this one
AEM CAI on thx1138's Civic
As long as it fits I am cool, the guy swears it fits the EX.

im pretty damn sure thats not aem cai, i have had one on for a year or so now, and i know that it comes with 2 peices of pipe. it also is lower than in that pic you put up of the members ride. so the one on ebay only has one peice? im kinda suspicious, the pipe bends the right way, so it looks like it would fit, but i dont think its gonna get as far down as it should.
it sits way down probably about 10 inches from the ground, like right about at the bottom of the bumper. that pic just doesnt look right to me. the intake comes with 2 peices, plus the filter. there is a rubber sleeve that attachs the two pipes. that pic of the dutch mans car looks like the filter sits kinda in the short ram spot. because if you look at your stock intake, its pulling air from behind the battery.

you're right beefman, its the one for DX/LX..
my bad. I thought there's only one.. no reason really to make two different ones but I guess there's a reason.
I did what we all should have done, check out aem's website. heh. they have two different part number... one for the ex cai, and the other for the dx/lx.
why is it shorter? I duno.
