DC header?

I read it on the site that it produced 12-14 on DYNO. I dont want to sound like a newbie but does that mean it wull actually add 12-14 hp? People tell me at the most it adds 2-3 hp.

2-3 sounds about right...use it in combination with an aftermarket intake and exhaust system.

The only thing I've seen on their site is 12-14 horsepower with header, intake, & exhaust........Thats more reasonable......

I have an AEM sr, AEM pulleys, DC header, and a highflow cat, I think the DC puts out the most noticable power. That is high end power because its a 4-1. www.slowmotionmotorsports.com

The thing that got me as a newbie was all of the hyped up HP numbers everyone boasted for their products. If I believed them, I could literally add 30 or so HP to my car with a I/H/E combo.

Too bad it's not that way. Then again, if I could add 30, so could anyone else.

But it doesn't sell products to tell you "you might get 2 HP from out product if used in unison with other performance products".

Only the dyno can be accurate...but I can say this,.......the HP design in tube diameter is significant over DC.......I compared the two last week..and was really shocked in the difference in designs. IMHO, the DC is not much better of a design over the Factory design other than the interior functions of the header and material characteristics......Peace!...BTW,...I too have the Ceramic HP.......but still neither knocks your socks off in performance!!!

Hey Allman, do you happen to have any close up, detailed pictures of your HP Ceramic Header? I would like to see one up close, before it was installed on a Civic. A header is the missing piece in the I/H/E combo for me right now, and before I had my mind set on the DC top section, but now I am consedering HP.

Maybe like a picture of the header (uninstalled) from different angles.

I wanted the hp header w/high-flow cat but a dc header came along at a price that I just couldn't pass up. I definately noticed the difference especially in the mid-range. I was very surprised with the header. It doesn't look too much different from stock. The tubes are slightly bigger and merge together differently then the stock header. The hp has much bigger tubes and looks as though it would produce more high-end power than the dc. However, after the exhaust and cai, I was very happy to get some low to mid-range power back. I think it helped just as much as the cai did if not more.

Now, I just need the down pipe w/o the cat and a simulator.

I am just pondering whether the dc header and down pipe or the hp header/ high-flow cat would be better.
