I just got the Kamikaze header for my 2001 LX, and I've got two questions:

1.) The header didn't come with gaskets or any hardware. I called Kamikaze, and they said there wasn't a need for new gaskets or bolts, that I should just use the ones that are already on the car. Does anybody know if this sounds right, or if there will be any problems with using the original gaskets and bolts?

2.) I talked to the performance shop that I go to, and when they install the header, they want to also install a custom downpipe. I asked for an estimate and was told they would have to look at first, and see what all needs to be done. Can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay for a custom downpipe?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

i have a custom 4-1 header and there is a flex-pipe that is connected to the end of the header...in order to attach mine to the piece before the cat the pipe was cut and i had to have it welded. it cost me $100

where did you get the header for a LX?

importparts.com has Kamikaze headers for the LX. As far as I know, they're the only ones that make a header specifically for the LX.

Is the bottom piece(not the end that connects to the end of the header, but the end that connects to the cat) does that get bolted or welded? Basically does it look like the picture or does it have 3 holes that you can bolt into? I have been trying to get this info forever.

I'll have to double check, but I'm pretty sure it has 3 holes that you bolt into.
